Check out how Brian lost 30+ lbs (!) of Fat in just 3 Months:
Fat: 52.5 lbs --> 19.o lbs (-33.5 lbs)
Percent Body Fat: 25.5% --> 11.1% (-14.4%!)
Brian walked into the Dojo looking for something to take his fitness routine to the next level. Exercise/working out was something Brian was very familiar with prior to TFW, however, he seemed to be hitting a wall that TFW was ready to help him bust through! The combination of TFW's program (physically and nutritionally) + Brian's work ethic/drive led to some serious results! See below to read more about Brian's transformation!
TFW: What is your favorite Exercise?
Brian: I don't know if I have a favorite exercise but I definitely like working out my upper body & core I just feel those are in my wheel house. I will say that I actually really enjoy the metabolic days but that could change if we keep doing these 100 rep challenges!
TFW: What led you to sign up for the 8 Week Transformation?
Brian: I am not a stranger to the gym or exercise but honestly my wife pushed me to try something different. I would workout 4 - 5 times a week and would see zero results so something had to give as my frustrations had made me unmotivated.
TFW: Describe your early experiences at a TFW Group Training?
Brian: Like I said I'm no stranger to the gym but I always worked out alone. My first week I came all 5 days and let me tell you I was sore, cramped and whooped. There is no way I would have continued if I was doing this alone. The coach's Adam & Jake are there for support and they always step in to help or correct you on something and just to give you the little extra you need to finish. The clapping or words of encouragement from the group makes a huge difference as well and just the positive vibes.
TFW: Now at the end of the 8 Week Transformation, what will you take away from this experience?
Brian: If you push yourself and be accountable for the results that you are putting out there you will be successful in you're journey. I will remain determined and keep my eyes on the next step.
TFW: What advice would you give to someone looking to start a journey towards a healthier lifestyle?
Brian: I always backed away from group classes because I always thought I would be judged by my peers in the class. I never felt this way at TFW. The coaches are great and what I always failed to think about was that the people around you are there for the same reason you are so don't get distracted. Focus on you're goals and cheer on your team mates. There will be bumps and bruises but stay focused on the goals you laid out to start with. Oh and don't listen your stomach as it will deceive you.
TFW: What was your greatest accomplishment, either physically or mentally during the 8 Week Transformation?
Brian: While the gains I saw were awesome from a physical standpoint this was a mental test. I completely changed my diet and way of thinking. I honestly did things I never thought were possible with my diet. I tried and ate foods that I never thought I would enjoy.
TFW: Describe your nutrition prior to starting the 8 week Challenge?
Brian: I ate and drank what I wanted daily. Pizza, pasta, fried foods, bread, ice cream and beer..it didn't matter. I ate pretty much anything I wanted and being from the south I was always told to clean my plate and boy did I.
TFW: How did the 8 week Nutrition Challenge help you in reaching your goals?
Brian: I wanted to be lean, fit and feel good about myself. This challenge helped me achieve results and pushed me to test my limits mentally and physically. I feel this was a step for me be it a big one and I want to continue the push myself to achieve more.
TFW: What nutrition tip(s) would you give someone that is looking to make a lifestyle change?
Brian: Plan it out/meal prep and log your meals/snacks. I prep every Sunday and I believe that's the difference as your not looking for food during the week when you're in the work week grind. Don't forget to log your meals as it will help stay focus and compete with yourself on a daily basis.
TFW: What do you want to accomplish next (Goal can be physical, mental, nutrition based, etc.)?
Brian: I want to build muscle and get stronger! I don't want to the biggest guy in the gym but I want to be lean and strong.
